The Saudi Prince is not taking a threat from the US lying down as he has responded telling the White House that any kind of threat of violence will not be taken lightly in the Kingdom.

“Anybody that challenges the existence of this country and this kingdom; all of us, we are products of jihad, and martyrdom,” Saudi Prince Saud al-Shaalan, who is married to one of the grandaughter's of the late King Abdulaziz Al Saud, said in a video that was posted to Twitter Saturday. “That's my message to anybody that thinks that it can threaten us.”

King Abdulaziz Al Saud founded Saudi Arabia.

The arrogance and superiority of everyone is evident in the above statement. The US was sending off a warning message after it felt the Kingdom had sided with Russia in deciding to cut down its oil production quantities as a leading member of the OPEC+. In response the Kingdom had mentioned that it was a unanimous decision of all the members and there was no favoritism of Russia.

Saudi Arabia was also accused of siding with Russia over the war with Ukraine. In response to this, a twitter message was quoted where Ukraine expressed its heartfelt gratitude for what Saudi Arabia had done for it.

The back-and-forth tensions have caused concern that the longtime security alliance between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia could be in the midst of fracturing. But a Saudi source tells a well-known US based new agency that Al-Shaalan's rhetoric does not represent the views of the government and there is a good chance that they will take action against the prince for posting the video.

Biden had pleaded with the Kingdom to keep the production intact and not reduce its duration. But the opposite did happen and the West Wing dropped the gloves in the spat and said they would ‘re-evaluate’ diplomatic relations while the Democrats threatened to suspend all arms deals to the long-time ally.
