Israel Moves Ahead To Shake Hands With Middle Eastern Bigwigs

It might just be the only thing which Israel has done right in a decade that is signs up with UAE and Bahrain in order to fight a common enemy- Iran

It has been set in a formal gathering that indeed Israel is willing to call it a truce with the rest of the Middle East, when PM Benjamin Nethayahu signed a historic ‘dawn of a new Middle East’ normalization agreements with the UAE and Bahrain.

At the Oval office of the American President expressed his hopes that indeed the deal would bring a sense of peace between five different countries and Israel.  The two Gulf states UAE and Bahrain have now become the third and fourth countries in the Middle East to recognize Israel and establish formal diplomatic relations with the Jewish state for the first time in many decades.

With the gulf countries coming together, UAE is sure it has finally ‘broken the psychological barrier’ and sees this as the ‘way forward’ for the region, as per UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.  Israel has been under heated argument with Palestine over annexation, something that still remains a topic open to discussion. But the recent signing up in the presence of almost 1000 people comprising casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, a supporter of both Netayahu and Trump, the Jerusalem Centre for Public Affairs director Dore Gold, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto as the only EU diplomat present at the occasion.

Israel has signed two separate documents- one is a peace treaty with the UAE and the other is a declaration of intent to make peace with Bahrain. Meanwhile UAE’s Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed has thanked Israel from not going ahead with the annexation of Palestinian territories. The sentiments are soft towards Palestine and Israel might not be able to go ahead with its dream to annex after all.

Palestine has its fear and has shown disgruntle over the agreements signed but Trump is confident ‘they will come about when they see merit is what has been done for maintaining long lasting peace in the Middle East.’

Zayed stressed the importance of the Abraham Accords, and said this restraint over Israel’s part ‘will enable us to stand with the Palestinians and enable their hopes of establishing a Palestinian state.’

Oman might be the next of the list of countries with which Israel wants to make peace; and then Saudi Arabia though the latter isn’t sure if it ready for complete normalization of its relations with Israel.

The only plausible reason for Netanyahu for putting his guards down could be his need to find solace with Middle Eastern countries that have a common irritant- Iran.
