India Seeks Help From America With Vaccine Numbers

Image
With the country's medical system choked and under pressure to manage a surging number of cases of the Covid-19 variant, it is looking at receiving help from the US for vaccine exports   According to a formal statement made by the  The White House, there are 10 million doses that could be cleared for export “in coming weeks” and the rest by June 2021. India will now be taking help from  the US for Astra Zeneca vaccine because its own surge in infections are not being able to keep pace with the rate of infectious spread.  India is taking help of 60 million vaccine doses.  It has not revealed potential beneficiaries, but the sources said India could gain the most. From a top official close to Narendra Modi, it has taken some diplomatic talking, intervention by the UN and talks from the top medical officials in the country, that US has changed its mind.  It is also a time when the Centre has to accept its failing and would need to keep the country from going underwater. Why Is Navalny Been Asked To Close Operations In Russia?

Image
Russia isnt making it any easier for anyone , especially not for the one who is  trying to crush the serpent's head Alexei Navalny's anti-corruption foundation has been forced by the Russian court to suspend activities completely.  Earlier, his life was on stake as he was poisoned while he was readying himself for election campaigning last year. Then he was defamed for the longest time. But his spirit has not died out and he continues to wish to give Russia a more democratic choice of governance.  Vladimir Putin is hell bent to be the dictator and he is not going to allow Navalny's idea to germinate leave alone thrive to become a solid tree of hope.  He is the only one standing against Putin. He is the only one who has a fan following on social media which makes him an ideal candidate from the opposition. "The court has suspended the work of FBK and Navalny's headquarters pending the court's decision," the foundation, FBK, has tweeted recently. They are

Australia To Build A Sustainable Runway In Antartica

Image
The Antarctic has been for some decades a new playground for many countries.  But for Australia, this isn't a new exploration after all, as it is ready to pave the way to develop an aerodrome that will help in scientific exploration and  logistic movement in East Antarctic.  It is going to an all-weather year round paved   runway near Davis that is going to have huge positive impacts because this region does not have equivalent facilities. It would be the only paved runway in Antarctica. Australia is making some positive strides in development with Antarctic explorations indeed.  The area chosen is the  ice-free Vestfold Hills site. This spot is said to be particularly attractive for an aerodrome development. According to confirmed sources, this proposed site will allow for construction of a paved concrete runway on rock. This will be of low elevation, close to the sea and in a place with a climate that remains static without too many changes of temperature.   The runway alignmen

Why Hezbollah Is Entering Into The Business Of Supermarkets?

Image
The Lebanese based Hezbollah Party is again making great use of its opportunity to exploit its public in a time of crises Before anyone can get down to protesting, it’s a laughable thought for me that a terrorist organization like Hezbollah should be indulging itself into supermarket business. There is news doing rounds that indeed Hezbollah is trying to create a parallel economy across the south of Lebanon. One of the worst political parties and responsible for creating situations of mass murder and unrest in Lebanon, they have been repeatedly financed by Iran to carry out their terrorist activities. Can one really imagine such people to be into the business of building supermarkets? But the irony of the matter is that they are building supermarkets in Lebanon.   It is probably the right time for them to take advantage of a collapsing economy that cannot keep up on its own feet anymore. The few supermarkets are closing due to lack of supplies, banks have no hard currency to hand out,

AstraZeneca Rejected Shots Could Save Other Lives

Image
Those nations rejecting Astra Zeneca shots could save lives of millions in poorer nations, if they could this once prioritise others before themselves..... While the world has been hit by a virus that did not make any distinction between the rich and the poor, the less privileged countries continue to be marginalized when it comes to receiving treatment against the deadly Covi d-19 virus. Each nation has been busy getting its own protected.   Very few are genuinely thinking of the less fortunate. The United Nation’s led Covax scheme was meant to support the lesser privileged nations.   But what is coming through from the wealthier nations is the rejected supply of vaccines. It has taken a lot of effort for the humanitarian organizations to find a balance between a no vaccine situation to some vaccine doses for these poor and underdeveloped nations.   In a recent move, it has been confirmed that now doses of vaccines that stand rejected from developed nations will be sent off to the

Indian Perspective To Soft Power In Paraguay

Image
Under Modi leadership India has found a smart way to get back to China and develop its place in the world order   India is playing a kind of smooth politics to earn its place in the world arena. As a nation that was under British rule for almost 100 years, has taken a long time to stand back on its feet and be taken seriously.   The Covid-19 situation has given the Centre a chance to prove how it needs to be taken seriously and cannot be ignored anymore.  For this, India started to send off consignments of Covid-19 ingeniously developed vaccine candidate to its neighbours.  Paraguay was also a well thought out strategy. But Taiwan has said that India did not in order to wade off the China lure. It is a well-known fact that   China had been publicly stating that Paraguay – Taiwan's diplomatic ally – would be able to receive COVID-19 vaccines, if it severed ties with Taiwan, foreign minister Joseph Wu claimed. For China, it is important to keep pushing Taiwan away from developing its

How Retail Giants Are Exploiting Labour Force

Image
It is becoming more and more important that some kind of universal guidelines for labour is put into place on a worldwide basis. As we agree that world over, economies are thriving on the effort of unskilled and skilled labour. Cases of exploitation are coming forward amongst labour from every nook and corner. The pandemic, in a way, has helped unearth the ugly truth behind top brands.   In focus this month is Amazon again, leave alone the popular brand H&M. Horror stories amongst women workers has been surfacing in the Indian manufacturing facility for children’s clothes for H&M. Multiple women at Natchi Apparels have reported abuse weeks after 21-year-old worker was allegedly killed by her supervisor. Mostly Dalit women that work in the factory in Tamil Nadu have been victimized and alleged sexual assault.  After a 21 year old woman was mysteriously found murdered in the nearby field of her house, after having not returned back from work, many women have come forward usin

Why Chinese Association With Iran Could Be A Matter Of Concern?

Image
China's closeness to Iran could be a matter of great concern to the rest of the world   China continues to look all gracious ways of keeping nations involved but can exit at any point of time it wishes.   Iran should feel happy that $400 billion deal is coming their way. But it could be retracted at any point of time. This move comes at a point when China is suddenly wishing to get into the good books for Middle East nations.  A recent trip was made by China’s Foreign Minister Wang Y comprised UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Turkey and Iran. However, the most critical part of Wang’s Middle East jaunt was the stopover in Iran. The foreign minister is the first top ranking official to visit Tehran since President Xi Jinping’s visit in 2016 when the two sides signed a comprehensive strategic partnership agreement. China has signed a 25 year long treaty to help the bleeding nation. In return, it will get oil and gas access, a commodity that Iran has been desperate to sell.
