Will Hezbollah Become Irrelevant Soon?
The growing amity seems to be becoming a reason that Hezbollah as a party in Lebanon might be losing their power and relevance. Regional realignment seems to be adding up towards November 29 running up of the election time and the relevance of the Iran backed party seems to be becoming dim. Of the major regional development seems to be factors like alleged actions by Iran’s proxies in Iraq. These include assassination attempt against Prime Minister Mustafa Al Kadhimi as well as Hezbollah’s activities in Lebanon. And then angry comments made by Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah were quickly proven wrong and not gone down well with Lebanese either. Nasrallah has said he was in the loop about recent Saudi-Iranian talks in Iraq. He claimed that they did not mention “Lebanon or Hezbollah, neither with regards to Yemen or other issues”.
