How Charles Cullen Has Become The Good Nurse On Netflix

This is one of the most sad and gory descriptions of real-life murders in medical facilities that has been depicted well and is trending on Netflix

A nurse that murdered dozens of patients over a course of 16 years, Netflix is all ready for the story of nurse Charles Cullen. The series is gaining traction as is the previous crime thrillers including Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story and The Watcher.

If one to ask about the real person behind the story, he is still alive. A troubled person who was orphaned at a young age, Charles Cullen was also discharged from the US Navy when it attempted to take his own life.

Shortly after that, he started to train to be a nurse. Born in New Jersey, between 1988 and 2003, he worked in several hospitals across New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Till his arrest in December 2003, he had murdered some 29 people.

In 2013, Cullen spoke about his crimes in his first televised interview, appearing on 60 Minutes. He described some as “mercy killings”, however, several of his patients were not terminally ill. He also spoke of his previous suicide attempts, saying: “I tried to kill myself throughout my life because I never really liked being who I was. I didn't feel I was worthy of anything.”

Troubled childhoods can really lead to troubled individuals. Such people must be given rehabilitation instead of being put only behind bars. When arrested, he confessed to his crime, not hiding anything.

He was later pardoned from death sentence but was slapped with 11 counts of life sentences, and has been ever since in a high security prison in New Jersey. According to court papers, his earliest chance for parole would be June 10, 2388.
