Why Are Children Becoming Victims To Israel Palestinian Conflict?
Children are also falling prey to the hate and racist actions of Israeli forces and no one seems to be interested in taking onus for this crime against humanity.
Rayan Suleiman had
no underlying conditions as a child and was found shrieking in fear, according
to his family, who has now blamed the Israeli forces of having killed their son.
The US State Department has called for a full-fledged investigation into the death
of the young boy.
The soldiers
apparently had come into their house to arrest his older brother. Mohammed
Suleiman, a 22-year-old cousin, said his parents shouted, “come here,” to calm
him down. He said after the soldiers left, and later the boy collapsed.
An Israeli
military spokesman said troops were in the vicinity at the time to search for
Palestinians suspected of fleeing into the village after throwing rocks at
motorists.
The Israeli
forces have denied any false doing. In another account, the Palestinian residents have denied any kind of stone-throwing at the time. The military
spokesman added that “the details of the incident are under review”.
Killings at the
hands of Israeli forces isn’t new news. It has been seen as hate and racist
crime that has been rocking the lives of peaceful Palestinians for decades now.
Children have
grown in such turmoil witness to hate crimes, forced arrests, beating and torture
of young and older men. Some retaliate, others don’t. But the fear and hatred build
in their minds and bodies and finds a vent, when and how it can.
This is just one
incident that has come to light in the course of events that continue to create
conflict amongst Israeli forces and those Palestinians that are trying to
establish their strong hold on West Bank.
Despite repeated
requests from human rights groups, atrocities continue to be meted on innocent
civilians in West Bank, forcing anti-government militia to then retaliate. The
bait is usually civilians.
